Channings, which is situated in the best residential part of St. Ives, is owned and run by a friendly Somerset farming family and a warm welcome awaits you from the minute you arrive.

The well appointed lounge bar with its relaxed atmosphere and breathtaking views over Godrevy Lighthouse and Hayle Towans, offers you the chance to meet and enjoy the company of other guests in pleasant surroundings, or alternatively, there is a comfortable lounge with television for your enjoyment.
In our spacious dining room, we offer a very varied menu.

St Ives has much to see and do! Down by the harbour, it is as if time has stood still, except for the comparatively new lifeboat, which can often be seen being put captivatingly through its paces.

The variety of shops, pubs and cafes in the cobbled main street stay open during the summer months, well into the evening, enabling you to make the most of your day doing other things.

I've stayed here many times and always get such a warm welcome. It's like meeting old friends every time I return. Every room is comfortable and has been individually furnished. Home cooked food excellent. Well situated only 5 minutes walk into the beautiful town of St Ives. I can highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here over the Easter break. Had a warm welcome. Large airy room with plenty of space to hang clothes etc. Huge walk in shower which was fab! Excellent full English breakfast which was beautifully cooked & presented. In fact all in all it was a real find as far as we are concerned & we will definately be back!

Channings is clean, comfortable, welcoming, well-located and serves a good breakfast; just what my friend and I needed for our visit. If you wanted somewhere young and trendy, this might not be for you, but I have no complaints at all. We had a very pleasant 3 night stay.

Nearby Attractions:

Both the railway and bus stations are close by and the scenic ride on the train to Penzance is one of the most picturesque in the country. The old fishing ports of Mousehole and Newlyn are but a short drive away, whilst further afield you have Cornwall's capital town of Truro with its magnificent cathedral.

Flambards Theme Park for children and adults alike, St. Michael's Mount, Paradise Bird Park, Gweek Seal Sanctuary, the old Geevor Tin Mine at Pendeen - now a visitor Heritage Centre and of course Land's End and many more attractions are all available within easy reach for the more investigative visitors.
