Castlemead is probably one of the most superbly situated small Hotels in West Wales. A 4 star, pet friendly hotel nestling at the head of a small wooded valley, Castlemead is set in 1/2 acre of mature grounds & lawns with extensive views across the Bay, Norman Church and Castle. Here we offer a gloriously quiet, relaxing atmosphere in the heart of the village yet just a "stones throw" from the Pembrokeshire Coastal Park and a short stroll to our Blue Flag Beach. Formerly a "Gentleman's Residence", Castlemead has benefited from an extensive refurbishment programme and now offers 8 pleasant guest rooms with all the expected facilities for the discerning guest.
Three of our rooms are at ground floor level in the "Coach House", set some 20 yards across the car park from the main house. They are decorated to the same standard as the house and are fully centrally heated. These tend to be very popular with guests to whom stairs pose a problem and those who like to bring their well behaved dogs with them. The comfortable guest lounge boasts a wonderful antique open fire which welcomes and warms guests during the cooler months.
Castelemead's restaurant/bar and sun room open onto the lawn, giving direct access to the garden. Well known throughout the area, the restaurant has an enviable reputation for good food, pleasant ambiance and superb views.
