Castle House
Castle House takes 4 star B&B in Canterbury to a whole new level. In the shadow of the Normans and in the footsteps of the pilgrims, you will want to come back again and again… Built in 1730 the house takes its name from the magnificent Norman castle ruin which stands opposite. Part of the building is built into the original Roman city wall.

Included in your stay is a fantastic Four Star cooked breakfast prepared by our excellent chefs. Featuring generous portions of the traditional English fare. We also offer a Continental selection featuring a broad choice of cereals, pastries and yoghurts.

All rooms are en-suite & decorated to a very high standard.
On site parking is available & the house is three minutes walk from the town centre & the cathedral.

Castle House is a great location and a very charming hotel. But watch out for which room you get. You never really know until you check-in and see what's left. Our room gave this hotel its low rating otherwise it would have been a 4 or higher.

nice place, conveniently located near the city center. Very clean with very kind personnel. Only problem is the light coming into the room from the hallway through an upper window above the bed.

Castle House Hotel in Canterbury is a very conveniently located B & B, just a few minutes walk from the center square where the cathedral is. It is a quaint little place that is very clean and has very friendly personnel. It is also convenient in that it is but a few minutes from the East train station. There is only one problem and that is they have a set of rooms that have rectangular glass windows above the door and the bed that admit the hallway light into the room at night. This is especially annoying if the hallway lights are turned off and then someone turns them on in the middle of the night. The lights shine right in your eyes waking you up. They do have rooms that don't have these glass windows. I would stay there again but would ask for the rooms without the glass windows above the door and the bed.
