Castle Cliffe Guest House
Set amidst the stunning scenery of Derbyshire's Peak District National Park, Castle Cliffe bed and breakfast is an ideal base from which to explore the many sites and activities the area has to offer. All rooms have views in our bed and breakfast, whether to the west looking out over beautiful Monsal Dale with it's famous viaduct, south accross open fields towards the market town of Bakewell, or east across Longstone Edge towards Chatsworth House and beyond.

All rooms are en suite and have televisions and hot drinks facilities. Prices per room per night range from £59 to £84 and are inclusive of breakfast. Visit our tariff page for more details.A warm welcome awaits you. Join us on arrival for tea and home made cakes in the garden in Summer or as you relax by a roaring open log fire in our Guest Lounge in Winter.

We believe in starting the day right with a hearty breakfast. Choose from a selection of menu choices ranging from fresh fruit salad to the full derbyshire (everything going plus a Derbyshire oatcake). Lighter alternatives are available for the fainter heart. All produce is sourced locally wherever possible; eggs from Beeley Moor, Armstrong's award winning sausages and kippers from Loch Fyne via Chatsworth Farm Shop (as local as they get around here).

Although Castle Cliffe advertises as 'Pet Friendly' they were not able to accommodate my request and their suggestion of 'leave the dog in the care while you have breakfast' does not evidence any friendliness towards pets - l asked if we could be seated in a lounge with our minature yorkie but was told this would be an 'added amount of work' My suggestion would be - take yourself off the pet friendly web site

We were there to enjoy a short walking break. The facilities were excellent and the views stunning. Tea on arrival and chocolates in the room were a nice touch and the proprietors went out of their way to be welcoming and to recommend walks. We will definitely return one day!

Nice place, nice people, excellent breakfast, very clean. But the bathroom was very small.
