A warm and friendly welcome and comfortable accommodation awaits you at the 2 star, pet friendly, Carlton Hotel in the village of Mumbles on the Gower Peninsula close to Swansea in south west Wales.

The restaurant is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner as required and from 6.00 pm to 9.00 pm, Monday to Saturday for evening meals, providing a varied menu, snacks and a comprehensive wine list. Traditional Sunday lunches and small private functions are also catered for.

Our comfortable air conditioned bar serves a wide variety of beers, wines and spirits. The television lounge offers satellite TV.

Ground floor rooms, the restaurant, the bar and public toilet facilities are all adapted for the disabled.

The hotel was supebly situated and was neat, tidy and clean. Service was good and we encountered no real problems, though the double bed was springy and uncomfortable. We would stay there again.

The carlton hotel was clean and friendly with no frills.The room we had was spacious and very clean, but the en-suite needed DIY SOS urgently.

Amazingly friendly staff who couldn't do enough for us - excellent service. The only downside was that there is only one family room (2 joining rooms) and it is very dark and gloomy even on a bright and sunny day. It also has a mouldy bathroom! If it wasn't for this, we'd be going back - wonderful staff.

The Carlton Hotel in Mumbles does what it says on the tin. If you need a perfect location right on the seafront close to Verdi's at fairly low cost, clean B&B this is great. The staff were really friendly, which was nice. Dont expect a palace though ;-)
