Grade 11 listed luxury Accommodation with our own private car park, the house has flagstone floors 20”deep fireplace magnificent sweeping stair case and friendly welcoming hosts. Burnley House was a Georgian farmhouse built in 1787. It stands on the green which is kept shorn by the sheep freely roaming amongst the picturesque cottages.

Burnley House overlooks the Hutton Beck as it winds through the peaceful garden. Brown trout can be seen in the clear water and a variety of wildlife also the heron on the banks. On arrival at Burnley house you will be offered freshly brewed tea or coffee also a slice of beautiful Burnley house Victoria sponge cake.

Breakfast is served in our dining room at whatever time suits you (arrangements made on arrival) in front of our welcoming wood burning fireplace. We offer a traditional English breakfast and for the more diet conscientious we have poached boiled or scrambled eggs, also a vegetarian option.

The breakfast buffet table is set with yogurts home made muesli cereals fruit, also a fresh fruit salad and homemade preserves marmite and Yorkshire Honey. We always try to use local produce with free range eggs from our own farm

The house has a wonderfully architecturally designed sweeping stair case which leads you to the two front bedrooms which are double and look over Hutton beck and the winding white fencing and beautiful cottages. The two front rooms are very spacious indeed and have beautiful ornate cast iron fire places with very large bathrooms. We also have two twin rooms both ensuite. Rosedale is on ground level therefore has wheelchair access. The four-poster bed room has a lot of privacy it is just of the car park. Newtondale is on the first floor of the annex, adjoining Burnley house, it is double bedded with en- suite bathroom.

We have both double and twin rooms all en-suite some with bath and shower, the bedrooms are very tastefully decorated, with colour TV, Tele Text, hair dryer and central heating. All rooms also have a tea and coffee tray. You are free to relax in our sitting room or the beautiful cottage style garden or sit on the terrace opposite the beck and listen to the babbling brook.
