Brookdale Hotel
The Brookdale is a family-owned 30 bedroom hotel in the heart of the county town of Truro, where we seek to combine modern efficiency and facilities (including complimentary wireless broadband connection) with genuine old-fashioned Cornish hospitality.

We cater for a whole list of guests – from tourists to corporate. We’re less than ten minutes walk - a stroll not a sprint - from the city centre, with its cobbled streets, back alleys, restaurants, shops and theatre; we’re eight minutes (again a stroll) from the city’s historic cathedral, and just five from the River Fal, where you can take a boat trip down to Falmouth.

We’re also central for government offices and Treliske and Duchy hospitals, if you’re working or visiting there, and are a five minute taxi ride from the railway and coach stations. And because Truro is centrally situated in Cornwall, we’re just nine miles from both the south and north coasts, five from the main A30, and seventeen from Newquay airport with Ryanair and South West flights to Stansted and Gatwick . We can also arrange car hire from the hotel.

The Brookdale was purpose built in the thirties, so that while our facilities are first rate, we’re also seeking to retain the style and feel of the period, rather than the anonymity of a modern hotel.

Owners Paul and Pam Treseder come from long-established local families, and take a personal interest in making your stay with us, be it business or pleasure, one that you enjoy.

As well as individual and corporate guests, and special events, we welcome group and coach bookings. And if you’re driving, and even though we’re close to the heart of the city, you’ll be pleased to know that we have onsite parking for 36 vehicles.

The Brookdale enjoys a spacious well-stocked bar and an especially fine restaurant, able to seat up to 75 guests. The restaurant offers both an extremely good and reasonably priced table d'hote menu and an a la carte menu that is varied and interesting, as well as an extensive but reasonably priced wine list. Our restaurant is open to residents and non-residents and orders are taken from 7pm - 9.15pm.

We found the staff very obliging and the hotel's situation ideal for Truro and a base for travelling around Cornwall. The food was excellent and whereas the hotel was in need of a little TLC, it only added to the charm of what was probably once a 'grand' hotel. We would stay again.

Lovely staff, breakfast excellent. Room a bit tired but we did make the booking at the very last minute (that day) so I guess other rooms would have been better
