Nice location and pleasant hotel with lovely bar area and fire. Weather was very cold on this weekend and the room was too. Heating came on eventually at approx 9pm room was in need of a makeover (no3) bathroom was tiny and tatty. no ventilation in shower room. Bed was comfortable. Breakfast was excellent. Staff friendly however evening meal was spoiled by a poor desert (trifle) staff said they would do something about it but we were still charged on our final bill. Still hoping refund honoured so will check credit card to see. Enjoyed the stay but standard of decor should be better for the money.

The service we received was fantastic, above and beyond what we expected. The staff where very helpful and friendly. Brantwood is situated in a pleasant location, with easy access to Ullswater and Penrith, as well as many visitor attractions. The room was clean and a good size, with adequate facilities and the choice at breakfast time was great! Overall, we where very pleased with our stay at Brantwood, found it great value for money and are planning to stay there again in the not too distant future. We would be more than happy to recommend it to our families and friends.
