We are open 7 days a week all year round for food, drink & accommodation. We offer a very flexible range of rooms … from affordable standard rooms … to superior rooms … to premium ground floor suites, one of which has full disabled facilities. The suites can be combined with superior rooms upstairs to form spacious apartments, ideal for families and small groups. Many of our guests stay on our popular mini-breaks because of the superb quality and value for money of our award wining food, which is appreciated by visitors and locals alike, in fact the name Brackenrigg is synonymous with great food.

The Brackenrigg is a traditional, Lake District coaching inn ~ refurbished to modern standards and with a relaxed & very friendly atmosphere. We aim to provide quality service, delicious food & drink and excellent value for money. We are a 3-Star Inn - this is different to a 3-Star Hotel. You'll not find full-on 3-Star Hotel facilities at the Brackenrigg but with all the added charm & friendliness that comes from being a cosy & characterful Inn you will find it an enjoyable experience.

All of our rooms are en-suite - some with shower only and others with bath & shower. We have excellent wheelchair access to our public areas: bar, lounge and dining room. 3 of our rooms are dog-friendly and, of course, we also welcome guide dogs. We can offer activity options, a secure cycle shed and a wealth of local knowledge to guests as well as very flexible conference facilities to small business groups.

Our guests enjoy a beautiful view of the lake and surrounding fells from the dining room, bar, lounge, terrace, garden and bedrooms. The general quality of the facilities is, of course, what you should expect from an AA 3-Star Inn. We offer a number of touches, though, which give our guests something special... these include the genuine warmth of our welcome and service, whether you’re staying for a drink, a meal or overnight.
