Birchdale Guest House, Aylsham

Birchdale provides high quality non-smoking accomodation in a charming house surrounded by leafy, secluded gardens. It is set within a conservation area with waymarked walks on the doorstep, a few minutes walk from the market square and the Bure Valley steam Railway (trips to the Broads). Accommodation is in four comfortable and attractive rooms comprising a twin room, 2 double rooms and a single room. The twin bedroom and large double have en suite facilities. There is a separate bathroom for guests sole use.

All rooms overlook attractive front or rear gardens. Dressing gowns are provided where thare are no en-suite facilities. The facilities in all rooms include colour TV, wash hand basins, clock radio alarms, tea & coffee making tray, magazine selection, hairdryers, full central heating. Healthy Breakfasts-Breakfasts at Birchdale are cooked to order using fresh local produce. Our bacon and sausages are supplied by J. Coxford the local butcher and mushrooms, tomatoes and free range eggs are all bought from the local market. With more people becoming aware of the importance of eating healthily our sausages and lean, smoked back bacon are grilled rather than fried.

Alternatively, guests can choose oak smoked haddock delivered to us by our local fish van. Our delicious fruit and nut museli is supplied by Letheringsett Watermill at Holt. To accompany their meal guests can choose from a bowl of fresh fruit and wholemeal, granary or white toast. We are always happy to cater for vegetarians, vegans or others on special diets given prior notice. Breakfasts are served in the pleasant bay windowed dining area overlooking leafy front lawns.
