Billys Bothy is an exceptional 5 star gold award cottage located in central Derbyshire close to the magnificent Peak District National Park. We specialise in both large luxury self catering cottages and also accommodate guests for luxury bed and breakfast.
The bedrooms are beautifully furnished with character beds, revealed beams and brick walls add a cosy amience to the rooms. There are 6 bedrooms all of which are ensuite, four of these are double and two are twin. All rooms have LCD TV's with freeview, WIFI, clocks and hairdryers.
This a fabulous location from which to explore the many attractions or activities that are available in the area. We are a short drive to Alton Towers, Chatsworth House , Sudbury, Haddon, Hardwick and Kedleston Halls. Ashbourne, Matlock, Bakewell and Buxton are closeby. We are just 4 miles from beautiful Carsington Water where you can cycle, canoe, walk or eat. Enjoy walking the many Derbyshire Dales or try the many cycle trails in the area.
If you choose bed and breakfast you will enjoy a tasty start to the day with a hearty breakfast from locally sourced food whenever possible. If you have special dietary requirements please let us know in advance and we will do our very best to accommodate your needs. You will have the opportunity to have a BBQ on warm evenings or to visit the many restuarants in Ashbourne or the local villages. Evening meals can be arranged by request.
For self catering you will have the luxury of all the bedrooms along with the rest of this wonderful cottage.You will have the choice of 5 or 6 bedrooms, a large well equipped kitchen, separate dining room and large lounge with a cosy wood burning stove. The cottage is fully centrally heated and beautifully appointed with hand made antique pine furniture and co ordinated fixtures, fittings and furnishings. If you like character then the oak floors, beams, internal brick walls and galleried kitchen will really appeal to you. A large glass gable with doors opens onto a private patio and orchard with lawns.
A BBQ is available for your use and we can offer meals and pampering to help you relax and unwind.
A sauna is available on site and may be hired at a nominal fee- minimum of 2 people.
We also have a cinema screen please ask if you would like to watch a film on the large screen.
