The Royal Victoria at Hastings is a nice hotel - the room was fine, the staff were very kind and the sea view was great. My husband thought that a normal size double bed was a bit small in a hotel, but I didn't mind. We got an off season price which made it reasonably priced as well (although their standard prices are maybe a little high for what it is in Hastings). My only complaint would be that you have to make your tea with hot water and a tea bag at breakfast. Fine in the room, but in the restaurant I would expect a teapot at a hotel of this standard.
