Welcome to Best Western Magherabuoy on the Causeway Coast. This restored 19th Century Country House and modern, comfortable, smoke free hotel is set on a hilltop overlooking Portrush and the Atlantic Ocean.

Located just out of town, the hotel is an ideal base from which to explore the Giants Causeway, play a round of golf at the championship course at Royal Portrush or to sample Irelands oldest whisky at the “Olde Bushmills Distillery” before unwinding in the evening in the Griffin Room restaurant with a mouth watering dinner.

Originally opened in 1987, the Magherabuoy Hotel was extensively renovated in 2006 and branded as a Best Western property to reflect the high standards that are now expected by the modern leisure and business traveler.

Hotel staff are trained to a standard that compliments the exceptionally high standards that are prevalent in the new accommodation, but without loosing sight of what Northern Ireland it really famous for – the warmth of welcome and the genuine hospitality that is only found in this part of the world.

GUEST SERVICES:

Tea and coffee facilities are available in every guest room. Vending machines for snacks and drinks are located on the ground floor. Breakfast in bed, room service for meals, snacks and drinks is available on request.

A traditional, full, Irish cooked breakfast is served daily from 7am. Guests are able to relax in the lobby or in the private walled garden with seating, children’s play area, small lawn, shrubs and plants. In the summer months this is a real sun trap in the evenings.

Check in from 3.00 pm and check out time is 11.00am unless pre-arranged.

Our Bistro serves food all day everyday and our a la carte restaurant opens at 6pm daily.

Trains and Buses

Translink run a regular express bus and rail service between Dublin, Belfast, Derry and Coleraine, you then catch a bus or train to Portrush without having to change station. Journey Time from Coleraine to Portrush is approximately 15 minutes.
