The Bell is a traditional ‘Inn of distinction’ with 3 stars, personally run by Paul and Helen Lavis, who have been your hosts for the past 20 years. Situated in the beautiful Lambourn valley, only 4 miles from Newbury our trademark is a relaxing informal approach that offers the highest of Standards to make your visit an enjoyable experience.

We have eleven en-suite bedrooms all with modern facilities. Over the years we have won many awards for our food and were awarded the AA Good Pub’s Millennium Wine Pub of the Year. Real Ales, log fires, heated terraces for al fresco dining all go together to make staying at the Bell a memorable experience.

Bedroom looked out onto very dirty yard full of broken bricks etc negleted & filthy. Staff good.

Nice old fashioned pub in a lovely setting. Room was nice and spacious, bar meal was good but definately over priced. However the entrance to the hotel part almost made me walk away - you enter via the snooker room, which had a really horrible smell. The pub & room etc were fine, but your first impression of a place can make a difference between walking in or walking out..
