Barony House, Edinburgh

Welcome to Barony House! You can be sure that The Barony is one of the most comfortable B&B's in Edinburgh where you will be warmly welcomed and well looked after. Our B&B is close to Edinburgh Castle, Holyrood Palace, the historic New Town, Princes Street and the Royal Mile. It is handy for the many venues during the Edinburgh Festival and Fringe and also Edinburgh's military tattoo. If you are coming to the Playhouse to see a show it could not be easier as we are on a direct bus route into the city centre. Surgeons Hall for Doctors coming to take their exams is walking distance from us.
If you wish to play golf, or explore the beauty of the Scottish countryside you do not have to travel far to enjoy these pursuits.

Rooms.
We have 5 well appointed ensuite rooms and one double room with a private bathroom next door for those who prefer a little more privacy, naturally dressing gowns are provided.
When making a reservation choose from double beds, american king beds or single beds (twin) whichever you prefer.

Guest services.
You will find a hospitality tray in each room providing tea coffee and hot chocolate, shortbread biscuits to nibble and a small night cap to help you sleep!
You can use our free WiFi in your room or access our guest computer in the hall. There is also a direct dial telephone and the use of an iron and ironing board should you require them.

Breakfast
Your host, Susie's primary hobby is cooking and Barony House guests can expect a real Scottish breakfast every morning. Begin the day with your own choice of cereals, yogurts, fruit, porridge or, for the larger appetite, sausages, bacon, mushrooms, tomatoes, hash browns and eggs. You can also choose from smoked haddock, kippers and waffles with maple syrup for a change. Special diets are no problem either just let us know before you arrive and we will do the needful. Naturally, there are a variety of teas and we only serve freshly ground coffee, natural or decafinated.

Susie and her husband Leonard, have a wide knowledge of local restaurants and eateries, theatres, leisure facilities and places of interest and will gladly help you plan a memorable stay in Scotland.

Double room single occupancy from £45 to £60
Double rooms from £50 to £90
Twin rooms from £60 to £95
Family rooms from £75 to £140

Please note at the week end we have a minimum of a 2 day stay and during August (high season and the Edinburgh festival) We have no single rooms and a minimum of a 3 day stay at any time.

Check in time is by request to suit your arrival in Edinburgh Check out time is between 10.30 and 11.00am.
You can leave your luggage if you have a late plane or train to catch.
