Bankyfield
Bankyfield is the home of Suzanne and Philip Norris. It is a Grade II listed Georgian town house built in 1814 with many of the original features remaining. It is a welcoming and comfortable home full of personal touches with shells from the Red Sea, Iona and Orkney and pebbles from Greek Islands, souvenirs from our travels.

We have just one guest bedroom overlooking the garden, it has orthopaedic beds and shelves crammed with books local and otherwise. The adjoining private bathroom has a bath, shower, hand basin and lavatory. The kitchen with dark blue Aga leads out to the walled garden with it’s courtyard. In the summer tea and scones are served here on you arrival. Ptolemy, the resident cocker spaniel may join you there!

For breakfast we offer a range of cereals together with a large bowl of fruit including produce from the garden in season. There is a wide choice of homemade marmalades, jams and jellies together with locally produced honey.

We had a lovely welcome from Suzanne and Peter. On arrival we commented on how lovely the flowers smelt on the Verbena at the front door and when we got back from a walk, a vase full of them had been placed in our bedroom :o) The view over the back garden from the bathroom is beautiful and the home made marmalade - delicious! We will definitely stay there again.
