Balyett is very convenient to ferry terminals. The owner is very obliging, the rooms are delightful, and breakfast was excellent. Couldn’t ask for anything more. Short drive to Cairnryan, also to Portpatrick – a very quaint fishing village. Heathmont (AU) Pat from Balyett was very welcoming on our arrival, the room was very comfortable and breakfast was great. The B & B is literally 5 minutes from the ferry terminal which was the reason for booking. The whole experience made for a great start to the day. I would certainly recommend this B & B. Stephen from Leeds We recieved a lovely warm reception from the owners, who made us feel really welcome and even moved their car so that we could keep our motorcycle under cover. The room was clean, cosy and comfortable – it was everything we required, and the cooked breakfast was first class! Richard from England Balyett was wonderful! Full of charm, warmth and comfort. I can’t wait to return! Lee from Newcastle A first class B

We picked this place solely for its proximity to the Cairnryan ferry – but what a lucky pick! We had a choice of two fabulous views, an amazingly comfortable room and the best breakfast of the week’s holiday (we’d stayed in several places through Ireland). The host was really helpful and was able to advise on a really good place to eat (Custom House in Stranraer, which we would also recommend!). We weren’t there nearly long enough and have resolved to go back for longer.

We spent a very nice night at Balyett. The children loved the house, the rooms were very well appointed and the surrounding were perfect for a relaxing trip. Can't wait to go back - just the 2 of us to enjoy more of this most excellent bed and breakfast! Highly recommended!!
