Ballingers Farmhouse Self Catering Cottages, Whittington

The Granary and The Stables are two delightful single storey cottages, ideal for two people. They are situated immediately opposite the Ballinger's Farmhouse, which is an early 17th century Grade II listed building. Farms usually have a number of functional buildings near by and originally the two cottages were - yes you guessed it - a granary and stables. Ballinger's Farm is no longer a working farm. Although it is updated internally it still retains its old world character and the exterior has hardly changed.

The village of Withington is in the centre of The Cotswolds AN AREA OF OUTSTANDING NATURAL BEAUTY. It doesn't matter whether you travel north, south, east or west, The Cotswolds and the River Coln with all its beauty, is there for you to explore. The village is quite well known and around 400 people live in the Parish.

The two cottages have combined the old and the new tastefully to give you the best of both worlds. There are original beams and exposed stone. There is one difference in the cottages, The Granary has a double bed and The Stables has twin beds. Both cottages comprise of a living room, adjacent kitchen with dining area and bathroom both are well furnished and appointed with colour T.V, horse brasses and other ornaments befitting a country cottage. The cottages also have log burning stoves and are fitted with storage heaters. You can park your car within a few feet of the entrance door and if you wish to bring with you your horses and horsebox there is stabling and pasture - please telephone for more details.

The two cottages also come with a patio area at the back of the cottages for enjoying those long summer nights with a chilled glass of chardonnay, while watching the sun going down over the cotswolds. What a perfect way to end the day!
