Bagtor Manor House
Bagtor House(15thCentury)is an ancient Manor House set in 7 acres on Dartmoor. Walk up through the farm - 30 miles of Moorland to explore. The house has an oak panelled bedroom with a comfy 4-Poster Bed and another bedroom with an antique Brass bed & pine panelling, 2 inglenook fireplaces (fires always burning), flagstone floors and home cooked food from the Aga.
Homemade muesli, bread and jams for breakfast, eggs from our chickens scratching in flowerbeds, 2 friendly labradors to greet you. Peace and tranquility abound. Tea in the garden in Summer and in front of a log fire to warm your toes, in the drawing room in Winter.

Bagtor House now runs a water Turbine to produce our own electricity from the little stream in the garden, and we pride ourselves on buying only local sausages & bacon from Dartmoor producers nearby. Tomatoes and other veg are grown in our garden.

Come and relax at our beautiful Manor House on the Moors.

There is plenty of space for cars in front of the House. We have a hard tennis court nearby, and a grass court on the lawn if the Summer is good. We have several geese and lots of ducks wandering around, chickens scratching in the flowerbeds, amazing birds to see - buzzards overhead, sparrowhawks, and at the bird tables - nuthatch, great-spotted woodpeckers, tits, greenfinch.
Ponds at the bottom of the garden have tadpoles, newts, dragonflies, and swallows come for a well deserved drink when they arrive in the Spring
