Ashleigh House, Kingsbridge

Kingsbridge is the `capital' of the South Hams the southernmost part of Devon. It is located at the head of the Salcombe-Kingsbridge estuary, which is designated as an Area of Outstanding Beauty. Kingsbridge is close to beautiful beaches and spectacular scenery both on the coast and on the moors, and enjoys one of the mildest climates in Britain.

The ancient market town of Kingsbridge is lively all year round with interesting shops, markets (some of which are held by the quay on the estuary), a cinema, museum and cafes, bistros and pubs serving a wide variety of foods and drinks.

Ashleigh House is situated within easy walking distance of the quay, town centre, indoor swimming pool and leisure centre. Salcombe is a short drive or bus trip, easy walk or a ferry ride away in summer. Golf courses, National Trust properties and gardens, museums and excellent walks are all within easy reach. Kingsbridge is an excellent base for touring the region including the moors and many guests at Ashleigh House take a day out to visit the nearby Eden Project in Cornwall.
