This 5 star Bed and Breakfast Hotel is a classic Georgian House built in 1830 by the Duke of Wellington, just over 1 mile from the city centre, with private parking. Apsley House is privately owned and guests are offered a warm welcome and personal service.
The interior includes many period features and the hotel has been refurbished in great style to retain the splendour and charm of bygone years, furnished with fine antiques and original oil paintings. The drawing room with open fire, grand piano and beautiful arched windows looks out over the pretty garden. The bedrooms, all en-suite, are individually decorated in Traditional English Country House Style with sumptuous furnishings and fine drapery.
The hotel is licensed and a sumptuous breakfast, including vegetarian option is offered.
Owned by Nick and Claire Potts, Apsley House is one of Britain’s finest small hotels where guests are offered a very warm welcome and personal care. The atmosphere is more in keeping with a private house than a hotel with every discretion given to the comfort and enjoyment of guests. Help is always available if you require information on how best to spend your time in and around the beautiful city of Bath.
