Airlie Guest House
The Airlie is a well established and popular B&B on an excellent bus route just over one mile from from Princes Street . Personally run by proprietors Peter and Fiona Flynn so a warm welcome is always assured. We offer comfortable rooms at competitive rates and our large private car park at the rear of the house takes the worry out of where to park while you are resident with us. All this makes the Airlie an ideal base for business travellers or visitors wishing to explore the wonderful City of Edinburgh.

We have a variety of bedrooms which include single, twin/double/small family en-suite, budget standard double and large family en-suite. Most of the rooms have their own en-suite shower and toilet and all rooms have their own wash basin, television with freeview, tea / coffee making facilities, adjustable central heating and secondary glazing. We also have a payphone for Guests use. We have a Wireless hotspot, free of charge, so you can use your laptop while you are staying with us. For those Guests who do not have a laptop but require internet access we have a computer available from 8am until 10pm daily.

For those Guests who like to keep fit whether here on holiday or for business, we have the Royal Commonwealth Swimming Pool and Leisure Centre only a 5 minute walk from the Guest House. If you walk past the Commonwealth Pool you will enter Holyrood Park and in front of you is Arthur’s Seat - an extinct volcano. There are paths which allow you to climb to the top of Arthur’s Seat and once at the top you have a spectacular view of the City. There is also a road which you can drive up and enjoy the views that way.

Found the Airlie through this site but waited until we got to Edinburgh to check it out. We were luck there was a room available as it was quite busy so if you are thinking of staying here best book in advance. We would definitely come back and will be telling everyone we know to stay at the Airlie if they are in Edinburgh. Very good location, private parking, lovely breakfast and really helpful hosts.

We're currently on a touring holiday in Scotland. Visiting Edinburgh for a few days and by chance ended up staying here at the Airlie. The owners have been great hosts and our room is very comfortable. Breakfast is great and we are enjoying the use of the computer as you can see!! We feel fortunate to have found this establishment and wanted to recommend it to other travellers.

Our stay was only for one night, the room was clean & comfortable although it would have benefited from an "airing" as there was a stale smell on entering the room. All in all it was ok value for the price & I would consider staying there again

Great location for using buses, only about 10 minutes from the center of the city and buses run about every 5 minutes. The food was great, the room was very clean and we had everything we needed for a reasonable price. Stayed during The Fringe Festival and loved every minute of our visit. We'll be back and stay at Airlie again!
