We have stayed at the Hotel Sonnenberg now 5 times and the time spent there is always pleasurable. Both accomodation and food is excellent

Lovely little hotel, very clean, friendly, beautiful views from balcony, rooms tastefully decorated in chalet style. Only drawback is steep walk up from village, cars have to be left down the hill.

hotel sonnenburg is a wonderful cozy inn sitting on the mountainside just above grindelwald. we enjoyed our stay immensely and the service at both breakfast and dinner was outstanding.

This was my second stay at the Sonnenberg. The hotel sits above the noise and hustle of the village below. The views are unobstructed and spectacular. The rooms are well maintained and serviced. The evening meals are excellent -- again enjoying a fantastic view. For 2009, I will again travel to Grindelwald and stay at the Sonnenberg. They are professional and gracious.

We were very satisfied with our stay. The hotel is well managed and has a fabulous view of the mountains. Room facing the Alps would be very important. It's a little hike up to the Hotel, but if this is not a problem we would highly recommend. Good food, including dinners.
