Welcome to Bacardi Palace, an elegant protected listed Colonial property dating back to the 1850's when it was built for a Marquess of Bacardi. Despite its modern amenities the property has retained its character since the days when the Cerda started to built the new Barcelona out of the Gothic. ABOUT US:
Holiday and business guests are assured of a warm welcome and a pleasant stay at Bacardi Palace, located on the most exciting spots of Barcelona, at Las Ramblas. Just 2 minutes walk from the beach, Liceu Opera, Plaza Catalunya, the Cathedral and Gothic Quarter. Gaudi´s magnificent Art Nouveau buildings, such as Palau Guell, La Pedrera or Casa Batlló are all within walking distance.
The apartments have been newly refurbished, with a kingsize double bed, a private closet and a living room with excellent views over Las Ramblas or Plaza Reial. There´s a fully-equipped private kitchen for preparing your own meals, and a new private bathroom.
There is another apartment that can accommodate 1-6 guests, but 2 extra guests can stay in the living room upon request. It has two double rooms, two bathrooms, and a spacious living room. The price includes 7% VAT, cleaning, free use of the kitchen, bed linen and towels. We offer free 24 hours high speed internet WI-FI connection in all the apartments if you bring your laptop. Family-orientated accommodation - no stag or hen parties allowed.
GUEST SERVICES:
Tea and coffee facilities are available at any time from the cubby-hole, a fully eqquiped kitchen with fridge and kettle situated inside of the apartment for private use.
A traditional English cooked breakfast can be served in the dining room. Guests are able to relax in the guest lounge.
We are quite relaxed about the clock and have a very flexible approach to check in time, which can be arrenged between 10.00 am and 2.30 am and check out time is 10.00am unless pre-arranged.
DIRECTIONS:
From BCN airport by taxi:
Taxis from the airport to Barcelona city centre take about 30 minutes depending on traffic, and cost between 15-20 EUR, including an extra fee for each large piece of luggage placed in the car boot. Tell the driver the address: Las Ramblas 42, Passatge Bacardi.
A shuttle bus service leaves every 15 minutes from each terminal to Plaza Catalunya. The "Aerobus" is the most comfortable and easy way to travel between the city centre and the airport. A single ticket costs 4.05 EUR. Stop at Plaza Catalunya and take a taxi (around 4 EUR) or walk down Las Ramblas to number 42.
From GRO airport
If you arrive at Girona airport, the best way to get to Barcelona is on the Barcelona Bus, provided by Ryanair. There is a bus ready for each arriving flight. A return ticket costs around 20 EUR. Don't think about taking a direct taxi from GRO airport to Barcelona city - it could cost you up to 150 euros! The bus will stop at Estacion Nord and from here it´ll be easy to take a taxi to the apartment, which will cost you around 5 EUR. Watch out for pickpockets while waiting for your taxi.
BY CAR
Coming from the north, you´ll get into Barcelona on the AP-7 motorway. Take the exit called Ronda Litoral. Continue on this road for about 10 minutes and then take the first exit you see for Barri Vell, Las Ramblas. Follow directions for Las Ramblas and carry on for about 1 minute. The nearest parking is located under a small square called Plaza del Teatre, just outside the apartment. Parking costs approx. 20 EUR per night.
From the HARBOUR:
The only way to reach the apartment from the harbour is by taxi, unless you aren´t carrying much luggage and wish to walk. Walking will take approximately 20 minutes. A taxi will take about 5 minutes depending on traffic, and will cost around 6 EUR, including an extra fee for each large piece of luggage placed in the car boot.
