Ninety North Guest House is North of Johannesburg in the garden suburb of Ferndale. Two spacious suburban villas, typical of upmarket South African homes, have been furnished in a modern, comfortable and welcoming style. Each villa is wholly dedicated to guests – with covered patio and pool, lounge with DSTV and DVD player and dining area. A total of seven spacious and luxuriously appointed bedrooms give a choice of queen, king or twin bedrooms - each having their own bathroom en suite.

Just two minutes from the N1 highway, Ninety North is positioned for easy access to Sandton and Cresta’s outstanding shops, all the surrounding business districts, as well as Hartebeespoort Dam, the Cradle of Humankind Heritage Site, Lion Park, Lesedi Cultural Village and Monte Casino. Bryanston Country Club’s excellent golf course is only 5 minutes away and there are gymnasiums and health spas close by. The N1 makes it easy to be picked up for a Soweto Tour to visit the Nelson Mandela Museum and Hector Pietersen memorial.

Tea and coffee are available all day and John, Lynda and Brendan van Niekerk are your hosts. They are ably assisted by manager, Mrs Veronica Hakula, who ensures that a sumptuous breakfast is served each morning. A selection of cereals, yoghurt, fruit, juice, ham and cheese is available, as well as a hot “full Monty” breakfast. Within a couple of minutes drive, there are a variety of very good restaurants:- speciality Italian (run by an Italian family), Thai, Greek and Portuguese food, as well as typical South African steak houses.
Take-aways range from steak, chicken and fish franchises and Mr. Delivery has an excellent service when you order by phone.
At Brightwater Commons, restaurants are varied and good and there are a variety of craft and curio shops. Sandton Square has a theatre and many indoor and open air restaurants to choose from, whilst Monte Casino also has shops and restaurants galore at this casino complex.
Directions:
From Airport take N1 towards Roodepoort, Take the RANDBURG/Malibongwe exit. Turn towards Randburg CBD. After motorway traffic lights, turn LEFT at NEXT traffic light (at Volkswagen). Follow Highview Boulevard road through the business park, past BMW on your left and the Velskoen Drive in on your right. When you see the sign to Patio Warehouse on your left, turn RIGHT into West Avenue Extension. Follow curves of road to stop street. Turn left at stop (you are now in North Street). Ninety North is on the left hand side after the Long Street intersection.
From ROSEBANK/HYDE PARK/JOHANNESBURG
Take Jan Smuts Avenue heading North and follow signs to Randburg. At REPUBLIC ROAD just before the cbd, turn LEFT. Cross over Bram Fischer Drive (DSTV Multi Choice is on your left) and go down the hill (past Brightwater Commons on your left). As you go up the hill on the other side, take the first road RIGHT into West Avenue. You will cross over Hill Street, Oxford Road and Rocky Street. Keep on West Avenue, until you see BRUSHWOOD apartment complex. At the next stop street, turn RIGHT into North Street. Cross over the Long Avenue intersection and proceed down the hill. Ninety North is the 3rd driveway on the left.
