Welcome To Ngongotaha Lakeside Lodge. Lakeside Lodge enjoys a perfect location. An AWARD winning Bed and Breakfast on the shores of Lake Rotorua and only a few metres away from the famous Waiteti trout stream. The panoramic views of the lake, Mokoia Island and surrounding countryside across to Mt Tarawera are stunning. Just out of the Ngongotaha Village on the western shore of Lake Rotorua, not city, not country . . . . . . . this lakeside location has a feeling of its very own. Relaxing and peaceful!

Just a short ten minute drive from the city, with many shops and restaurants; close to the main Rotorua tourist attractions, thermal wonders, Maori Culture and adventure activities. Ideal as a base for central North Island touring, exciting trout fishing or the yearned for weekend break.

Our "WAI MOTU” room ( wai – water, motu – island ) is the Lakeview King room. Beautifully decorated in creams and charcoals, it has a lovely, restful ambience. With it’s own balcony over looking the lake, with stunning panoramic views; it is the place to stay awhile. The superior King bed, with crisp linen, and piled high with pillows, guaranties a sound, comfortable sleep. The ensuite is sparkling white, with huge shower, heated floor, heated towel rail, and demist mirrors. Hair dryer, toiletries, and fluffy towels are supplied.

For your comfort and convenience, you have your own TV, fridge, a selection of teas and coffee, and little extra surprises. For your leisure time, you have the choice of comfy armchairs in your room or the outdoor balcony seating area.

Our "WAI MOANA” room ( wai – water, moana – lake ) is our Queen room. Tastefully decorated in soft buttery cream and charcoal, with superior Queen size bed, crisp linen, and piled high with pillows, The lake can be seen from the north facing window and the other faces west, for the afternoon sun, and has views of the garden with water feature. The ensuite, ivory cream, with all toiletries supplied, heated towel rail, hair dryer and fluffy towels. For your comfort you have your own TV and tea and coffee facilities.

Our “WAI MANGA” room ( wai – water, mangu – stream ) is the smaller twin room with two single beds. Although being small, it has everything at hand. Ample storage and hanging space, with windows facing west, giving all afternoon sun. Ivory cream ensuite, with all toiletries, heated towel rail, hair dryer and fluffy towels. For your comfort you have your own TV and tea and coffee facilities.
