Antica Torre” is a biological farm holidays in a tiny middle of age villane, once well connected to Parma and Piacenza castles.
Antica Torre is located in an historical and naturalistic environment and from its green hills it is possibile to watch its 43 hectares territori, completely fanced and partially will not cultivated.; our farm holidays overlook Salsomaggiore Terme city and its valley, well known as the “food valley”.
Surronded by woods and fields “Antica Torre” offers complete quiet and relax (you may also get in touch with local fauna and flora.

“Antica Torre” is run by Pavesi family – Francesco, Vanda and Emanuele – a very friendly and nice people. They love being in touch with nature and calm. They like natural products and appreciate nature flavours and tastes and they try to involve their “guests” in this way of life.

At first life ran round ancient “Cistercian Grangia” (cellar), where at the end of XII century - Colomba monks of Chiaravalle – used to treat salt which once represented a great economical source; they used to boil bromine sodio-ionic water coming from Salsomaggiore Terme. Then, around XIV century, the sighting tower was built in order to protect this precious source and to see probable dangers for Pallavicino Lords (owners of Scipione castle which is very close to “Antica Torre” farm.

Finally it became a rural farm and so other building in stones and bricks were built, in order to allow workers to live there along with animals too. If you decide to stay in “Antica Torre” it means that you can choose among different solutions extremly confortable; forniture reminds to “rural and poor” style … relax and privacy are granted (Direction reserve the right of not accepting “loud” guests).

Discretionary power and reservedness along with spontaneity are essential elements to offer the best service, creating a “personal” holiday.

Our restaurant will propose typical regional dishes most of them coming from our cultivated fields; if you come and decide to spend so time with us, you will live surronded by an historical and srtistic culture and you will be able to get in touch with products you will not find anywhere like Culatello, Parma ham, Parmigiano Reggiano (Parmesan cheese), wines full of unforgettable flavours all well held in our Cistercian cellar – where unique Giuseppe Verdi compositions will also delight your hears!
