The 'Bleibtreu' (literally: Remain Faithful), as it is affectionately called by its regular guests, is located in a renovated, 19th century Charlottenburg patrician house in the Bleibtreustrasse, one of the most elegant side streets debouching into the Kurfürstendamm. Since the hotel was opened in 1995, guests have been able to enjoy a unique blend of charm, design, art and comfort. Characteristic of the Bleibtreu are its cosmopolitan but unpretentious ambience coupled with continuity and a sense for the impulses of zeitgeist, fashion and lifestyle, not to mention the ubiquitous house number, 31.

Remain faithful
Nomen est omen: very many hotel guests have remained faithful to the Bleibtreu from the beginning. Now, over ten years later, it is frequented by numerous regular guests who are only too pleased to appreciate the hotel's charm and hospitality time and again. Several members of staff have also been with the hotel from the word go.

About us
Ten years ago, Berlin interior designer Herbert Jacob Weinand turned the idea of combining the traditional and the modern into a new and unique hotel concept. His plans combined individually designed pieces of furniture, most of them made from untreated wood, with warm, light colours and high-quality textiles, and brought them together with Italian terrazzo and mosaics to form a harmonious whole. For creative advice, the hotel management relies on the Zurich-based designer team of Kessler + Kessler, who provide expert guidance on interior architecture and carrying out constant updates.

Rooms
A sophisticated interplay of light and colours creates a fascinating atmosphere in the rooms and, in combination with unadorned shapes, a clear feeling of space. All rooms are decorated using natural materials for a good night's sleep and a climate suitable for allergy sufferers. A special service is the free minibar while modern communications are ensured by direct-dial telephones with a connection for a DSL modem and wireless LAN. These are just some of the features that make the Bleibtreu eligible for membership of the select group of 'design-hotels™', an international hotel cooperation comprising around 120 design-oriented hotels worldwide.

After long business meetings, a day in Berlin's museums or a strenuous shopping tour, what could be better than the steam bath or fitness room for getting back into shape quickly? Individual wellness treatments, reflex-zone massages, oil applications and acupuncture are ideal for vitalising body and spirit. Guests who prefer a more active approach can arrange to be collected by a personal trainer for jogging in the Grunewald forest or a workout in a fitness studio.

Florists
Well worth a visit is 'Blumen 31', the hotel's own rose specialists. Here, in the entrance area of the Bleibtreu, romantics will find rare types of rose alongside all kinds of exotic blossoms and bizarre beauties, which can be arranged by the florists into enchanting works of art in accordance with guests' individual requirements. Naturally, the floral decorations for the hotel are also made here.

Service
The Bleibtreu can also supply a variety of individual tips and services to help guests discover Germany's capital. They include a special guide to Berlin prepared by the hotel, which covers the city's best tourist and cultural highlights. The reception staff is at guests' service at all times, to help them get the best out of their stay in Berlin.

'Bleibtreustrasse' is one of the most attractive side streets along the 'Kurfürstendamm': right in the middle of things but well away from the hustle and bustle of the main road.
