La Cigale, Mormoiron

This house in Mormoiron took me by storm.It almost looks like a huge ship. Its stony bow projects into the narrow lanes. Well, these thick walls. These individually designed rooms.

This gorgeous view at the Mont Ventoux.Choosing the colours for the interior design I was strongly inspired by the colours of the Provence. Terracotta, sun- yellow and citrus green. The unconventional, colourful ambience is a mirror of what I have found in the Provence: south - European lifestyle.

A picturesque yard with voluptuously blooming flowers is part of the house. There you can relax in the shade, daydream, read and reflect. An extra sun terrace is at your disposal. I am looking forward to serving you dinner. I will offer you a typical Provence menu either in the dining room or outside in the arbor wich is richly planted. Of course with candle light.

This old stone-built home is in Mormoiron, a small village perched among the foothills of the Mont-Ventoux, the "Giant of provence", dominating the Vaucluse landscape.Varied out door activities include all form of walking, horse-riding (riding schools nearby), hiking, trekking, cycling and cross-country bikes through pine and oak forests, in ocre quarries and around a lake.The countryside around the Mount-Ventoux (botanist's paradise), is well equipped with long-distance footpaths.If you like beautiful scenery, the Nesque Gorges await you between Villes sur Auzon and Monieux.
