Stauntons On The Green, Dublin

Welcome to Stauntons on the Green, Dublin's most exclusive Georgian Guesthouse set in an unrivalled position overlooking St Stephens Green Park and the intimate Iveagh Gardens. The property was constructed in 1750 and was home to Henry Grattan - Grattan's Parliament which was dissolved in 1801. The poet and Jesuit, Gerard Manley Hopkins also resided at the House from 1884 until his death there in 1889.

All our rooms have Private Bathroom, TV, Telephone, Hairdryer, WiFi and Tea & Coffee facilities. The building still retains its magnificent marble fireplaces and many of its elaborate plaster ceilings. It remains a building of unique character with spacious relaxing rooms.

GUEST SERVICES:

Full Irish Breakfast is served each morning from 8am - 10am in our cosy Breakfast Room. We also offer room service on breakfast at an extra charge of 4.00 Euro per person for those looking for a relaxing lie-on. Reception is open 24 hours for our guests to come and go as they please.


DIRECTIONS TO STAUNTONS ON THE GREEN:

From Dublin Airport take the Aircoach. This is a blue colour coach which departs from outside the arrivals area at Dublin Airport. You need to take the coach going the Donnybrook Route and get off on Lower Leeson Street. You then walk back to the junction and going straight through the junction onto the SOUTH side of St Stephens Green Park. We are located half way down on the left. The cost per person one way is 7.00 Euro on the Aircoach.
