Gormans Clifftop House and Restaurant, Tralee

We are situated in the townland of Glaise Bheag, near the small fishing village of Ballydavid, on the north-western tip of the Dingle Peninsula (Corca Dhuibhne). At the front of the house is Smerwick Harbour with a view of the Three Sisters and Sybil Head to your left, and Black Rock and Ballydavid Head to your right.

The very best way to discover the beauty of our Dingle Peninsula is on a bicycle. While you have sufficient speed to cover a large area comfortably you don't whizz by at fourty or fifty miles an hour, missing the minutiae of hedgerows teeming with wild life, or the subtlety of the ever changing light and spectacular cloud formations. On a bike, you are not just looking at the scenery - you are part of it !

" A room with a view " is an ideal way to describe our bedrooms. All rooms have breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, be it ocean or mountains. They are spacious and furnished with thought for your comfort, using traditional handmade waxed pine furniture, set off with beautiful handthrown Louis Mulcahy pottery lamps and tapestry wall hangings courtesy of local tapestry artist & weaver Lisbeth Mulcahy.

Our beds are top quality orthapaedic. Double rooms boast kingsize beds while superior rooms have super kingsize . We also have twin bedded and family rooms. The rooms have direct dial phones, television, clock radio and hairdryer. There is also a slection of books to choose from and a very comprehensive informative folder on The Dingle Peninsula.

While your bedroom may be all you want, we do encourage guests to make themselves at home and come out into the lounge, where the fire is lit each evening. It is a place to meet with us and other guests for just a chat or to plan routes, day trips and generally exchange information. Again there are books, both general reading and books of Irish and local interest, to suit all ages, these are here to be enjoyed and not just as ornaments.
