Twisted Acres Bed and Breakfast, Windermere

Our B&B combines country atmosphere with the comfort of a newer home utilizing central air and heating. Enjoy 50 acres of natures beauty on our walking trails and explore the picturesque village of Windermere and many points of interest in Muskoka.

Have fun with a variety of sports in our games area (with swings and slide for the kids), relax on the large verandah, catch up on your reading in the sitting areas or play ping pong, fooze ball or air hockey in our games room. There are also kitchen facilities for light meals. Twisted Acres has wheelchair access throughout the main floor including the bathroom. The verandah and yard are wheelchair friendly as well.

A short walk takes you to a public beach, tennis courts, an 18 hole golf course and fine dining or pub fare at the famous Windermere House. We are favorably located a short drive from many sites and attractions. 30 minutes to Bracebridge or Huntsville, 20 minutes to Port Sydney, 15 minutes to Port Carling, 45 minutes to Algonquin Park and downhill skiing. We offer free boat parking during your stay. Twisted Acres is a quiet, spacious haven minutes from the action and attractions. A full country breakfast in a friendly atmosphere gets your day off to a great start- bacon, eggs, hash browns, fresh fruit salad, home-made muffins- all served with juice, toast, coffee or tea. Upstairs the two large bedrooms (with queen size beds) are each equipped with a TV and VCR. On this floor there is a sitting area with reading material for your comfort, a fridge for your use and a bathroom.

On the main floor, the sitting area has a TV and VCR and a fireplace for a cozy evening. Three piece bathroom. Fridge. An abundance of movie videos are available for your use. Both levels attractively decorated and equipped for your comfort. Our two bedroom suite on the main floor, with private bath, kitchen and living room, is perfect for family or friends to enjoy a holiday or a get away at anytime of the year. Fully equipped kitchen.
