The Elora Mill Country Inn and Restaurant, Elora

Welcome to The Elora Mill Country Inn & Restaurant. One of Ontario's "Four Great Mills" dating to the 19th century, the Elora Mill Country Inn promises a charmingly historic ambiance. Four poster and canopy beds, antique trimmings, and hand-crafted amenities belie the inn's modern conveniences such as the jaccuzi tub of the Mill Cottage Suite. Many of the inn's 32 guest rooms offer deep window wells for enjoying the invigorating rush of the river and spectacular views of the Elora Gorge.

The town of Elora is a charming and historic limestone village. Antique shops, studios and galleries are attractively housed in 19th-century limestone buildings along quaint Mill Street. Local art galleries, festivals, and farmer's markets in Elora and surrounding St. Jacobs offer a truly unique country Inn experience.

The Elora Mill Inn is the proud recipient of the Wine Spectator Award Of Excellence 2007. With this award they are recognized for their committment to a fine wine list, with an excellent selection.

The 32 guest rooms are delightful retreats where soothing colour schemes, antiques and the work of local artisans are married in a decor that is beautifully simple. Each room is unique and may feature a four-poster or canopy bed, a basin fashioned by a local potter, or a handmade quilt. Vaulted ceilings make some rooms especially spacious. Such modern conveniences as televisions are carefully hidden in specially designed armoires.

Guest rooms are housed in the Main Mill, and in three special historic buildings: the Mill Granary, the Mill Cottage and the James Ross House. All guest rooms at the Elora Mill Inn are designated non-smoking. Many of our rooms do overlook the Grand River and Elora Gorge, which is a wonderful view from the room; however the sound of the rushing water can be quite loud. If you are a light sleeper, we would suggest that you request a room that faces away from the water.
