Knight Home B&B, Sault Ste Marie

This turn of the century home was built by Robert H. Knight for his eldest son Cecil and his wife Kristin. The present owner is the grandson of Cecil and Kristin. Numerous renovations since 1971 have modernized and upgraded the accommodations to include a large two room bathroom with a marble tub. This home is situated in a quiet residential area on the hill, overlooking the city's steel mill and international bridge. We Have 2 rooms in our facility which was built in 1912 and last renovated in 1998.

The Knight Home has an enclosed sunroom at the front as well as a large multi-level deck at the back of the house for the guests enjoyment. A small sitting room is available for guests to watch TV or read. We provide continental cuisine consisting of muffins, bagels, sweet rolls, fresh fruit etc. or a variety of full breakfasts such as stuffed french toast, breakfast bread pudding, breakfast quiche or bacon/sausage and eggs.

From Hwy 17 East (Sudbury), continue on into the city on Wellington St. until you reach Bruce St., turn right onto Bruce St. and proceed to the top of the hill. Turn right onto Lansdowne Ave., and we are the fourth house on the left. From the International Bridge, turn right out of the Bridge Plaza and almost immediately left onto Queen St. Follow Queen until it turns right and becomes Bay St. Follow on Bay St. to the second traffic light (Bruce St.). Turn left and proceed through 4 traffic lights to the hill. At the top of the hill turn right onto Lansdowne Ave., and we are the fourth house on the left. From Hwy 17 North (Water Tower Inn), continue south on Great Northern Rd. to the 4th traffic light. (Bruce St.). Proceed through one traffic light, the road curves and at the top of the hill turn left onto Lansdowne Ave. We are the fourth house on the left. This location is very close to the downtown area and about a 30 min. drive from the airport.
