House On Mcgill B&B
House on McGill, c. 1890, on a quiet, shady, residential street in exciting downtown Toronto, has been modernised and renovated, yet retains the charm of a century home. Our Victorian B&B has been decorated with antique furnishings to offer an inviting cozy retreat with historic appeal. The guest living room has cable TV/VCR, free guest phone and an ornamental fireplace with carved oak mantelpiece. Breakfast is in the guest country kitchen/dining room daily or may also be taken to the sunny, garden/deck during Toronto's great summer weather. Our equipped kitchen may be used by guests to prepare light meals or store food purchases. Five colour themed, A/C guestrooms share 2 bathrooms off the hallways, and a sixth large guestroom has a private en-suite bath.

Just a few doors away along busy Church street are numerous numerous restaurants, cafes, shops, convenience stores and night-clubs that make this area one of Toronto's liveliest neighbourhoods. Leave your car behind because It's only a short, scenic walk to Toronto Eaton Centre, Ryerson University, St. Lawrence Market, College Park Mall, Allan Gardens, Chinatown, Atrium on Bay, Theatre District, Cabbagetown, Church St. gay village, Carleton cinemas, theatres, and much more.

Unfortunately only spent one night there but it was very well kept, clean, warm the bed was comfortable and the house cat made it feel really homely. If I should need accommodation in Toronto, I will be staying at McGill

House on Mcgill B&B is very interesing and charming, clean, quiet and well-located in Toronto. However, I think it would have been also interesting to have a "welcome" of some kind... as I have not really seen anyone the whole time I was there ! (I mean the owners...) When coming to a new place to stay, I think it adds a more "personal -and human- touch" to talk a bit to your clients. Well, this is how I feel anyway... I must also admit that this is the feeling I got also in the whole Toronto: at the Tourist center (airport, Union Station...): there wasn't anyone...just pamplets !!! Is it the way we welcome strangers in Toronto ?

Generally the place was OK. The location is excellant especially for downtown and the owner was congenial.
