Compton House Heritage Inn, St Johns

Welcome to Compton House Heritage Inn, an elegant late Victorian estate property situated in downtown St. John's dating back to 1919. It was built for the Cousen's family and was later the residence of the late C. A. Pippy. The property sits on almost an acre of beautifully landscaped garden and has been restored to it's former glory as one of St. John's great heritage properties. ABOUT US:
Vacationers and business guests are assured of a warm welcome and a pleasant stay at Compton House and Compton Cottage just across the driveway. There are 6 large guest rooms and 5 Jacizzi Suites, all with private baths, cable TV, telephone and period furnishings. All of the suites and most rooms also have working fireplaces. For stays of 1 week or more, we also offer fully furnished and equiped apartment units at very reasonable rates. Please Email or call for further information on these.

<i>Jacuzzi Suites</i>
Each of our beautiful special occasion suites have a queen bed, sitting area, fireplace, jetted Jacuzzi tub, fridge, cable TV/VCR and full ensuite bath.

<i>Guest Rooms</i>
All of our large guest rooms have either a double, 2 double or queen bed, full private or ensuite bath, and cable TV. Many rooms have working fireplaces and all are furnished and decorated in period style. Please click on our website for pictures and full descriptions of our beautiful rooms and suites.

<i>Apartments</i>
We offer fully equipped studio to 2 bedroom apartments for stays of 1 week or longer. More information about these is also on our website.

GUEST SERVICES:

Tea, coffee and ice are available in the kitchen from 4 PM - 10:30 PM.

A full Newfoundland cooked breakfast is served by firelight in the elegant dining room from 7:30 - 9:30 each morning. Guests can relax in the large Victorian living room or the cozy well stocked library. There is also a sunny front deck, a secluded back patio and a wonderful garden with mature trees, many flowering shrubs and winding trails.

Check in time is between 2.00pm and 11:00 pm and check out time is 11.00am unless pre-arranged.

Single rooms from $69 to $109
Double rooms from $79 to $119
Jacuzzi Suites are $159 weekdays and $199 Friday and Saturday
Apartments are from $400 - $700 per week

We are 15 minutes from St. john's Airport.

<i>From the TCH by car</i>
Take route 2 (Pitt's Memorial Drive) into downtown St. John's. At the end of the road, turn right at the traffic lights and turn right again onto Water Street. Head West on Water and take the left-hand fork at the end of Water which is Waterford Bridge Road. We are the 11th house on the right (#26) just past the 50kph sign.
