Richmond Colonial Accommodation, Hobart

Richmond Colonial Accommodation offers two heritage cottages at Richmond, in south east Tasmania. Richmond is an historic village, 20 minutes (27 kilometres/17 miles) north east of Hobart. Poplar Cottage is a convict-built, 1840s Georgian cottage, overlooking Richmond Bridge. The property features one double and one twin bedroom, a fully-equipped kitchen and a separate dining and living area. Furnished in period style, Poplar Cottage is decorated with stunning antiques including a restored iron and brass bed in the main bedroom and a deep, claw-foot bath in the spacious bathroom.

Willow Cottage, built in the early 1900s, is a three bedroom, Federation timber cottage. Beautifully restored, the Cottage has two double bedrooms and one single bedroom with features including an open plan living and dining area and wood heater. The property has a fully-equipped kitchen, bathroom and laundry and a private, English-style garden. Both Willow and Poplar Cottages also have a television, VCR and CD player.

Breakfast provisions are supplied in both Cottages and include bread of your choice from the award-winning Richmond Bakery, sweet Tasmanian jams and delicious home made muesli. Complimentary port, chocolates and plunger coffee are also provided – perfect for enjoying beside the cosy open fireplace.
